Bacher Starts Europa League Perfectly with Lyon
The ÖFB team newcomer was substituted in at halftime for the visitors.
A successful Europa League debut for ÖFB-legionnaire Felix Bacher.
In the first round of the current Europa League season, the Tyrolean initially took a seat on the bench.
His Olympique started the match perfectly. In the 8th minute, Boudache dribbled through. His attempted cross was blocked in the penalty area, but Nartey, perfectly positioned, netted it for 1-0. A little later, Nakamura's shot was luckily and unbeatably deflected into the goal for 2-0 (22.).
International Debut for Bacher
The Tyrolean was substituted at halftime along with the 2022 World Champion, Nicolas Tagliafico. After controlled opening minutes, Anderlecht increasingly took control of the game.
In the 61st minute, Anderlecht scored the deserved goal to pull one back. Clinton carelessly lost the ball during Lyon's build-up play. The disorganised defense could no longer prevent the pass to Cvetkovic, who headed it in for 2-1.
Anderlecht Pushes for an Equalizer
Anderlecht subsequently created danger multiple times in Lyon's penalty area and demanded a lot from Bacher and his teammates. The equalizer was in the air.
In the 74th minute, Red Bull Salzburg's ten-million-euro sale Bidstrup was substituted in, but he also couldn't provide the necessary relief.
