Austria learns Conference League qualifying opponent

While the World Cup has reached its exciting final stage, Austria is already preparing for the Conference League.

The opponent has now been confirmed. In the second qualifying round, the Viennese will face FK Liepāja from Latvia.

After a 1-0 home victory in the first leg of the first Conference League qualifying round, the Latvians secured a 2-1 comeback win against Decic Tuzi in Montenegro.

Liepāja on a successful run

Latvia's fourth-placed team is currently in the midst of its league season, and on a national level, has only lost one of its last six matches.

Austria will play away first on July 23, with the return leg in Vienna following a week later.
