LASK seemingly effortlessly defeated Slovan Bratislava in the UEFA Champions League.

On the fourth matchday, the Linzers secured a 4-0 victory (to the match report >>>). In the first half, Dietmar Kühbauer's squad was superior to the Slovaks, especially from set pieces, and against the extremely weak visitors, there was also an abundance of chances otherwise.

LAOLA1 analyzed the performance of all LASK players and assigned ratings (1=Very Good, 2=Good, 3=Satisfactory, 4=Sufficient, 5=Insufficient, "-" = did not play long enough).

test

LUKAS JUNGWIRTH

90 Minutes

Had a rather relaxed day at work. He dealt with all the few balls Slovan brought to his goal. Jungwirth also almost collected a scorer point: A long ball to Usor in the 18th minute was, however, neutralized by Jungwirth's counterpart on the shot.

test

XAVIER MBUYAMBA

63 Minutes

Played a strong game – and particularly impressed with his tackles. All of them were perfectly timed. When he made a last-ditch save in the 31st minute after a lapse from Dibango, opponent Camara had to leave the field due to injury: Mbuyamba showed no mercy in the duels. Before LASK's fourth goal, he simply stood still during an opposing attack, thereby initiating the counter-attack.

test

JOÃO TORNICH

90 Minutes

Had a small wobble in the early stages, then was inconspicuous later on. Was barely tested at the back by a weak Slovan, and consistently joined the offensive play from set pieces. Before the 3-0 goal, for example, he won a header and then shot from the back, with Ljubičić converting the rebound.

test

ANDRÉS ANDRADE

90 Minutes

Struggled repeatedly in the opening minutes – directly in the second minute with a misplaced pass, which then led to him being left behind by an opponent. In the 22nd minute, a poor clearance attempt by the Panama international gave Slovan one of their rare shots. As the game progressed, he became more secure and made offensive contributions: A header in the 17th minute was too central, a shot in the 53rd minute was blocked. And in stoppage time, the crossbar saved the visitors from his deflected shot.

test

KASPER JØRGENSEN

90 Minutes, two goals

A double from a full-back, and a clean sheet – that's very good. He was in the right place for the 1-0, heading in from a corner, and he buried the 2-0 with a direct free-kick into the top corner. Wall? No problem. Goalkeeper? Irrelevant.

test

SASCHA HORVATH

81 Minutes

Distributed the balls in LASK's play, doing so at his usual level. 53 out of 56 passes reached their target, and he had no misplaced passes into the final third. Reacted lightning-fast after a visitor's error in the 24th minute, creating a top chance. Provided Usor with a superb ball just before halftime, and shortly after the break, he instigated play and set up Adeniran for the 4-0. A clean performance from the captain.

test

MELAYRO BOGARDE

90 Minutes

Put in a truly strong performance. Defensively fully alert, for example, during a Slovan counter-attack in the 18th minute, when he sprinted to close the gap. But even stronger with the ball than against it. Had 97 touches, completed 93 percent of his 80 pass attempts to teammates, with 18 out of 18 passes into the final third. Highlights: A beautiful cross-field pass to Usor (52nd minute), a brilliant pass to Ljubičić (56th minute). The fact that he didn't score another goal was due to his shot in the 67th minute being deflected. If it had been a goal, it would have been symbolic: Bogarde had won the ball himself just before.

test

ROBERT LJUBIČIĆ

63 Minutes, one goal

Was not really noticeable for a long time in the early stages, apart from a long ball to Usor who was offside. In the 24th minute, he initially made the wrong decision and passed, and his shot was blocked on the second attempt. 20 minutes later, he was clinical, slotting a ball home from close range for the 3-0. After the break, he even had the chance for a brace but shot over the goal from close range (56th minute).

test

YVAN DIBANGO

90 Minutes

One could not deny his will in his actions – but his accuracy was another matter. He was repeatedly sloppy in crucial situations. His blunder in the 31st minute, when he kicked the ball against Camara as the last man, opening up a clear path to goal for the opponent, did not prove costly – because Mbuyamba made the save.

test

MOSES USOR

75 Minutes

Was a constant threat. In the 18th minute, he controlled the ball superbly and outran opponent Wimmer, but goalkeeper Popović cleared with his feet. Also had a shot in the 34th minute that went just wide, as did a pass to Adeniran, who was unmarked at the post (45.+1). In the 62nd minute, he was dangerous in front of goal again, but from two meters, he only hit Popović. He couldn't get his own goal, but his corner kick provided the assist for Jørgensen's 1-0.

test

SAMUEL ADENIRAN

63 Minutes, one goal

Did and tried, and fought and played – but simply wasn't successful in his efforts in the first half. After a solo run in the 14th minute, he shot wide, and in the 25th minute, he lost his footing. In first-half stoppage time, he made a good run, but Usor's cross was too long. Immediately after the restart, however, Adeniran gifted himself a Champions League goal – powering through and ruthlessly striking the ball under the crossbar (48th minute).

test

DANIEL ELFADLI

from 63rd Minute

Came into the game after 63 minutes and did his job diligently. However, he didn't make any significant impact.

test

KRYŠTOF DANĚK

from 63rd Minute

Consistently provided attacking impetus after coming on. For example, he set up Kalajdžić perfectly on the counter, but he then shot the ball over (73rd minute).

test

SAŠA KALAJDŽIĆ

from 63rd Minute

Came on and did what a Saša Kalajdžić does: hustle, fight, shoot. But he didn't do something a Saša Kalajdžić usually does: score. In the 68th minute, the goalkeeper saved, in the 71st, it was somewhat fortunately deflected off his backside. In the 73rd minute, the attacker shot over after a counter-attack, and to top it off, he hit the post with a header from a rebound into an empty net. That was bitter, but the performance was fitting.

test

CHRISTOPH LANG

from 75th Minute

Came into the game late and had few actions. In the 87th minute, he didn't connect properly with a shot.

test

ALESSANDRO SCHÖPF

from 81st Minute

Played too short for a rating.
