Even in the second leg at home, Red Star Belgrade had nothing to gain against Hapoel Beer Sheva, as the match ended 0-2 for the visitors. Thus, for ÖFB international players Marko Arnautovic and Muhammed Cham, the dream of the Champions League group stage is prematurely shattered.

In the first half, the visitors had two clear chances in front of the opponent's goal, but they couldn't find the net. Red Star Belgrade lacked any offensive power in the first half, which is why Marko Arnautovic came on at halftime.

Red Star Belgrade managed to keep the game more open in the second half, but Hapoel Beer Sheva struck clinically in the 61st minute. Igor Zlatanovic scored the opening goal, making it 1-0 (2-0 on aggregate), which effectively sealed the result. Even the substitution of Muhammed Cham did not bring the desired turnaround for the hosts. Quite the opposite: Javon East put the game to bed in the 79th minute.

Mohammad Abu Fani provided a negative end to the match with an act of foul play in injury time (90.+2). He consequently received a straight red card.
