Austria Supervisory Board Decides Zagiczek's Future
The CFO's contract would have expired in autumn. Here's what's next:
Austria Wien on Thursday, during a supervisory board meeting, made the decision to extend Zagiczek's contract by two years.
The Executive Board member's employment contract would have expired in October 2026.
"Complete Confidence"
President Gollowitzer said about the extension: "Harald Zagiczek has done very good work for Austria Wien over the past three years and enjoys our complete confidence. Under extremely difficult circumstances, he has contributed significantly to the economic stabilization of FK Austria Wien AG and successfully achieved the set goals."
He added: "I am all the more pleased that both the administrative board and the supervisory board jointly supported the extension. With this, we are committed to continuity and will consistently continue the chosen consolidation course."

Zagiczek appreciates the trust of the executive board: "We have been able to achieve a lot in the past three years and create a good foundation for a successful future. We want to build on this, grow sustainably, and responsibly invest additional funds in sports. In doing so, we continue to consistently focus on economic stability and the further development of our academy."
