Semlic warns: "Brave WSG display? I can't hear that"
Because his team has potential, it shouldn't be enough to lose beautifully. This season, WSG aims to be more than a grey mouse.

Actually, it wasn't a bad performance by WSG Tirol. The 0-3 in Hütteldorf didn't quite do it justice.
Offensively, the visitors were too ineffective to take anything away, but their off-the-ball work was courageous and commendable. They parked the bus.
For Philipp Semlic, however, that was no reason to accept praise: "Brave WSG display? I can't hear that, because in the end it's not enough if you want to get a result here. We have to accept that and see that we still have a lot ahead of us to truly be able to compete here."
Lacked athletic prowess
A chance for Moritz Wels after five minutes was for a long time their only meaningful attempt; only when the game was decided did honoree Niklas Hedl get more screen time in his 200th competitive match.
Then Semlic became somewhat more conciliatory: "We showed enormous intensity, pressing without the ball for 90 minutes. I have rarely seen Rapid have to play so many long balls in this stadium."
Perhaps that's where the "crux" lay: "In possession, we then lacked the athletic ability in certain moments to be clearer in the final third."
Work during the international break
With eight points, the Wattens-based team are performing acceptably and could have a say in the championship group, should their form from the first quarter of the season be maintained or even improved.
The defeat in Altach still stings when taking stock, otherwise there was little to complain about regarding the results.
Semlic doesn't want to rely on that: "At WSG, we must not make the mistake of being satisfied with something like this. We must know that there is potential with our team. But we still have a lot of work to do to take the steps to be able to sustain the good phases in games for longer."
That's why he's looking forward to the long international break, which allows for concentrated work in this direction.
One thing made the WSG coach confident: "The performance is improving. I see things with which we can be dangerous against any opponent."
