Ried signs new goalkeeper
Due to injuries, Ried has become active in the transfer market again.
SV Ried has once again become active in the transfer market.
The Innviertel club has signed unattached goalkeeper Hidajet Hankic. Most recently, the Austrian-born player, who was called up once for Bosnia, was active in Russia with FK Rostov.
In Austria, the 32-year-old played for Austria Salzburg, Blau-Weiß Linz, and Wacker Innsbruck before moving to Russia via Romania and Bulgaria.
"Simply an awesome club"
"Due to the injury situation among our goalkeepers, signing Hidajet Hankic is a good opportunity to further stabilize ourselves behind our captain Andi Leitner. Hido lives with his family in Upper Austria, integrates seamlessly into the team, and harmonizes perfectly with our existing goalkeeping staff," says Ried Sports Director Lukas Brandl.
The keeper himself says: "I've always had a strong connection to Ried. My wife is from Ried, my best man is from here. That's why I've always felt very connected to the city. I've played in the stadium with Blau-Weiß before, and the atmosphere was great. Ried is simply an awesome club."
