Wolfsberger AC continues its deep slump. With their seventh defeat in nine league games this season, the Lavanttal club currently sits at the bottom of the league.

Coach Thomas Silberberger is also under severe pressure at the Carinthian club. After the 0-2 defeat against WSG Tirol, President Dietmar Riegler also visited the dressing room.

Has Silberberger already been axed?

When asked by "Sky" if Silberberger still has a job after this visit, the 53-year-old commented: "What happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room," and added: "Perhaps my players will reveal something to the outside, but you won't hear anything from me."

The signs for the Tyrolean coach are therefore not good. After the match against the Wattens side, Silberberger was particularly disappointed with the defense.

On Moritz Wels' opening goal, his backline only offered "escort service" instead of intervening decisively.

"Was in der Kabine passiert, bleibt auch in der Kabine!"

Players Believe in a Turnaround

WAC player Marco Sulzner, however, does not see the coach as the problem: "We can't blame the coach for anything. We need to eliminate our individual errors," said the 23-year-old.

Striker Giacomo Vrioni also believes in a turnaround: "Things can change quickly in football," and added, "we will have our chances and we will have to take them," as the Italian-born player encouraged his teammates.

Semlic Dissatisfied

Things are going significantly better for WSG Tirol. The Wattens team occupies sixth place after the away win.

However, coach Philipp Semlic is anything but euphoric after the match in Carinthia. "I am not at all satisfied with our game today," said the 43-year-old.

According to Semlic, his team allowed themselves to be infected by WAC's style of play. "That must not happen," Semlic stated, adding that WSG "got off lightly today."

Goalscorer David Kubatta is nevertheless proud of his own performance: "In the end, it was a hard-fought victory, but we deserved it."
