Another Victory! Salzburg Extends Home Winning Streak Against Altach
Salzburg celebrates an expected victory over the Vorarlbergers. Jesper Lindström breaks his goal drought after over three years.
FC Red Bull Salzburg celebrates a deserved 3-0 home victory over SCR Altach on the ninth matchday of the ADMIRAL Bundsliga.
The Salzburgers get off to a perfect start. Jesper Lindström brings the ball into the penalty area with the outside of his foot, before Haris Tabakovic bundles the ball into the net from close range at the far post (6').
Salzburg then controls the match and constantly pushes Altach into defence. However, the Röhl-Elf is unable to add another goal before the half-time break.
After the change of ends, Tabakovic almost scores a brace. The Bosnian heads the ball into the goal after a corner, but he pushes Milojevic to the ground beforehand (57').
Lindström Spectaculary Extends Salzburg's Lead
The Salzburgers remain dominant and consequently extend their lead. Jesper Lindström fires the ball directly into the net from a free-kick. For the Dane, it is his first personal goal after 1307 days (73').
Shortly before stoppage time, Damir Redzic also sealed the 3-0 final score for the Salzburgers with his first goal of the season after a magnificent combination by the "Bulls".
This marks the Röhl-Elf's first victory after the international break, following a goalless draw against GAK and a clear 0-4 defeat against AC Milan. Furthermore, it is their fifth home win in their fifth league match. Altach, however, remains just ahead of WAC at the bottom of the table.
