SK Rapid equals 76-year club record
Eleven wins from the first twelve league games of the season – something the Hütteldorf side had not managed since 1950/51.
SK Rapid headed into the international break on Friday with a furious 6-0 home win over Wolfsberger AC (Match report >>>), consolidating top spot in the table.
In fact, it was already SK Rapid's eleventh victory in this still young ADMIRAL Bundesliga season, which has seen just twelve rounds played so far.
In doing so, the Green-Whites even equalled a club record: for the first time since the 1950/51 season, the Hütteldorf side has managed to win eleven of their first twelve league matches. Unsurprisingly, Rapid went on to win the championship that year.
However, there is still a long way to go to repeat that feat this season.
