Michorl: "It really gives you goosebumps"

Peter Michorl played 351 games in the LASK jersey. Last Friday, he took to the field against his 'black and whites' for the first time.

At the start of the season in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, the Viennese native and his new club, GAK, lost 0-3 against LASK (Match report>>>).

"Sporting-wise, it wasn't good. From the start, we were far too hesitant against the ball and didn't trust ourselves enough with the ball. But emotionally, it was something else. When the opposing fans shout your name during warm-up and again after the game, it really gives you goosebumps. That was really cool," said Michorl, who still enjoys high regard in LASK's organized fan scene, among the "Landstrasslern".

The 31-year-old also enjoys high regard at GAK after just a few weeks. Following the substitutions of Daniel Maderner and Christian Lichtenberger, he put on the captain's armband.

"That's what I'm here for, to take responsibility. Today it didn't work out as well; as a team, we didn't reach our level today," Michorl expressed his disappointment.
