Unnecessary! Stankovic hit by object from LASK fan
The new GAK goalkeeper was hit by a paper ball after his club's unsuccessful Bundesliga opener.
A bitter day at work for Cican Stankovic.
Although the former ÖFB goalkeeper made some strong saves, his new employer, GAK, had to concede a 0-3 defeat to LASK in their ADMIRAL Bundesliga season opener (Match report>>>).
To make matters worse, Stankovic was also the victim of a paper ball throw after the game. A person threw a crumpled piece of the Linz choreography at the 33-year-old, who briefly went to the ground, hitting him in the face.
A visibly upset Stankovic eventually had to be calmed down by teammate and former LASK player Peter Michorl.
