Confirmed: Christoph Freund's son signs in Bundesliga
The Bayern sporting director's son will now be seen in the domestic Bundesliga.
TSV Hartberg signs Simon Freund!
The son of Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund joins from regional league club SV Seekirchen. He signs a two-year contract.
The 21-year-old is "very grateful for the chance to take the next step in my career at TSV Hartberg. The move from the regional league to the Bundesliga is a big challenge for me and at the same time a huge motivation," Freund is quoted as saying.
"Has all the qualities"
Hartberg coach Markus Schopp says he is also looking forward to the collaboration and "being able to support the youngster in his next step. I think he brings all the qualities to enrich us in our playing philosophy."
Freund was trained in the renowned youth academy of SV Kuchl, and after Siezenheim, he eventually came to Seekirchen. Now, in Hartberg, he has the chance to establish himself as a professional.
