WAC's Goalkeeper Search: Will WAC find what they're looking for in Israel?
The Carinthian club still has work to do in the goalkeeper position. A keeper from the Liga Leumit has reportedly drawn interest.
Following Nikolas Polster's departure to Nijmegen, WAC still needs to address their goalkeeper situation.
As reported by the "Kronen Zeitung", a new goalkeeper is expected to be presented in Lavanttal this week, specifically a new number two behind Lukas Gütlbauer. The outlet reports that a concrete name has already attracted the interest of the "Wolves": Lior Gliklich.
The 23-year-old is under contract with Maccabi Bnei Reineh, a club with whom he was relegated to the second division last season. The "Krone" reports that while Gliklich's contract is set to run until 2027, Gliklich is seeking a transfer due to the security situation in Israel.
In addition to an Israeli passport, Gliklich also holds an Austrian passport.
