15. Tochi Chukwuani
signed for 640,000 Euros from Denmark and sold to Glasgow Rangers for 4.6 million Euros
The defensive midfielder once arrived in Graz as a Danish U21 international from Lyngby BK and, according to media reports, cost Sturm around 640,000 Euros in transfer fees.
The robust holding midfielder had long recouped this sum during his time with the "Schwoazn" when he moved to Glasgow Rangers for 4.6 million Euros in winter 2026 – though already under the leadership of Sturm's current Sporting Director Michael Parensen.
14. Gregory Wüthrich
joined SK Sturm from Perth Glory on a free transfer and moved to Young Boys Bern on a free transfer
The Swiss player proved to be an absolute stroke of genius for SK Sturm Graz. With strong performances in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga and on the European stage, as well as his role as a leading player, Gregory Wüthrich played a significant part in two league titles and two cup victories.
The central defender moved to Graz from Australia on a free transfer in 2020 and shaped the team for five years before returning to his Swiss homeland, Young Boys, on a free transfer in summer 2025. If a transfer fee had been involved for Wüthrich, he would likely have ranked higher.
13. Jusuf Gazibegovic
moved from FC Liefering to SK Sturm and sold to 1. FC Köln for 2 million Euros
The full-back was one of the first transfers Andreas Schicker made after his promotion to Sturm Sporting Director in summer 2020. Little noticed, the Salzburg-born player arrived in Graz as a backup from FC Liefering in the 2. Liga.
Under Christian Ilzer, however, Gazibegovic developed from a prospect to a regular starter in his very first season, 2020/21.
After a total of 189 competitive matches and with two league titles and two cup victories under his belt, the Bosnia-Herzegovina international full-back moved to 1. FC Köln for two million Euros in January 2025, bringing Sturm millions in revenue once again.
12. Kelvin Yeboah
signed by SK Sturm for 1.2 million Euros and sold to Genoa CFC for 6.5 million Euros
The first major multi-million euro transfer of the Sturm era under Andreas Schicker. In February 2021, Kelvin Yeboah moved from WSG Tirol to Graz for 1.2 million Euros and immediately made an impact.
Just one year later, the striker was gone again: in 45 competitive matches, he scored 20 goals and provided ten assists before Genoa CFC paid 6.5 million Euros for the attacker.
11. Nathan de Cat
signed by TSG Hoffenheim from RSC Anderlecht for 18.5 million Euros
The Belgian is the youngest transfer on this list, moving from RSC Anderlecht to TSG Hoffenheim in July for a substantial fee of 18.5 million Euros. Half of Europe was after the 18-year-old, who is considered one of world football's biggest talents and has already debuted for the Belgian national team.
His market value is currently 27 million Euros – and in the future, he is likely to become the Sinsheimers' next big transfer coup. However, he is still further down in this ranking, as he has not yet played a competitive match for Hoffenheim.
10. Emanuel Emegha
signed by SK Sturm for 3.24 million Euros and sold to Racing Strasbourg for 13 million Euros
Schicker recognized Emanuel Emegha's potential early. In 2022, he brought the Dutchman from Royal Antwerp to Graz for 3.24 million Euros and sold him just one year later to Racing Strasbourg for 13 million Euros.
Emegha scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 45 competitive matches for Sturm, joining a series of successful offensive transfers by Schicker. The striker is now under contract with FC Chelsea.
9. Mika Biereth
signed from Arsenal for 5 million Euros and sold to AS Monaco for 13 million Euros
The Dane initially joined Sturm Graz on loan from Arsenal in January 2024 and made an immediate impact. The following summer, Biereth was permanently signed for five million Euros, becoming Graz's record signing.
He quickly proved his worth: In 47 competitive matches, Biereth contributed 23 goals and nine assists and played a part in two league titles and one cup victory. In January 2025, the next step followed – the striker moved to AS Monaco for 13 million Euros.
However, the actual transfer profit for Sturm was somewhat lower, as Arsenal had secured a sell-on clause of a reported 15 to 25 percent when Biereth moved to Graz. At the same time, Graz also included a stake in any potential future sale of the Dane.
8. Jon Gorenc Stankovic
signed on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town
With the signing of Jon Gorenc Stankovic, Andreas Schicker achieved a real transfer coup. The Slovenian arrived in Graz on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town in 2020 and immediately showed why he had already played eleven Premier League games. The defensive midfielder, who can also fill in at centre-back when needed, developed into an elementary part of the Sturm squad.
In six years, Stankovic won two league titles and two cup victories, and he now captains the Graz side on the field. The 33-cap Slovenian international remains an undisputed regular starter this season and has now played 246 competitive matches for Sturm.
Schicker also showed a similarly good touch with his compatriot Tomi Horvat. The Slovenian moved from NS Mura to Graz in 2022 for around 550,000 Euros and shaped Graz's offensive play for years. However, he is missing from this ranking because the transfer fee details for his move to Bristol City are not known. Nevertheless, Horvat is considered one of the best transfers during Schicker's time at Sturm.
7. Albian Hajdari
signed by TSG Hoffenheim from FC Lugano for 5 million Euros
In his first summer transfer window at TSG Hoffenheim, Schicker landed several big hits. One of them is Albian Hajdari, whom the Sinsheimers signed from FC Lugano for five million Euros in 2025.
The Kosovan central defender made an immediate impact, playing 31 competitive matches and playing a significant role in Hoffenheim's strong performance.
Even in the new season, Hajdari, now valued at 25 million Euros, is planned as an undisputed regular starter. His market value is likely to continue rising – and with it, the prospect of a lucrative resale in the future.
6. Tim Lemperle
signed on a free transfer from 1. FC Köln
After a strong second division season at 1. FC Köln, Tim Lemperle was on the radar of several Bundesliga clubs in summer 2025, including Borussia Dortmund.
However, Andreas Schicker with TSG Hoffenheim won the race for the attacker, signing the then 22-year-old from Köln on a free transfer.
There, he immediately became a regular starter and a key performer: in 31 competitive matches, he scored eight goals and provided two assists. His market value is already estimated at 17 million Euros.
Despite his good start, the German likely still has plenty of upward potential – thus, a significant future transfer profit is already emerging for TSG.
5. Wouter Burger
signed by TSG Hoffenheim from Stoke City for 4 million Euros
The Dutchman was also signed by the Kraichgau club in summer 2025. Schicker brought Burger from Stoke City to Germany for around four million Euros. At the Bundesliga club, the midfielder quickly developed into an important key player and had a significant share in TSG's strong season.
His development did not go unnoticed. Burger is now listed on "transfermarkt.at" with a market value of around 20 million Euros. Hoffenheim honored his performances and extended his contract prematurely in August. The now 25-year-old signed a new deal that ties him to the club until 2030.
4. Leon Avdullahu
signed by TSG Hoffenheim from FC Basel for 8 million Euros
The Kosovan also arrived in Sinsheim in 2025 and symbolizes the club's strong transfer summer. The defensive midfielder moved from FC Basel to the Bundesliga for around eight million Euros and quickly developed into an undisputed regular starter at Hoffenheim.
The Swiss player featured in 33 of 34 Bundesliga matches. The only game he missed resulted in a 0-5 defeat for Hoffenheim against RB Leipzig.
The 22-year-old's market value is now estimated at around 30 million Euros. Avdullahu also possesses great development potential and has already been linked with several top European clubs this summer.
Therefore, it is likely only a matter of time before Hoffenheim secures another lucrative transfer profit from him.
3. Alexander Prass
signed on a free transfer from SK Sturm and moved to TSG Hoffenheim for 12 million Euros
In summer 2021, Schicker brought the Upper Austrian, already considered a great talent, from FC Liefering to Graz on a free transfer. Prass reportedly had several other offers but chose Sturm due to better prospects.
At the "Schwoazn", the left-back developed into a key player and made the leap into the Austrian national team. In total, Prass played 130 matches for Sturm, scoring twelve goals and assisting 26 others.
In addition, he won one league title and two cup victories before leaving Graz in 2025 for twelve million Euros – specifically for TSG Hoffenheim, where he now plays again under Schicker and Christian Ilzer.
2. Bazoumana Touré
signed from Hammarby for 10 million Euros and sold to Newcastle United for 50 million Euros
In February 2025, Touré moved from Swedish first-division club Hammarby IF to TSG for ten million Euros, one of Andreas Schicker's first transfers. One and a half years later, the Ivorian became the Bundesliga club's record departure: he joined Newcastle United for 50 million Euros.
Touré thus replaced former Rapid player Joelinton as TSG's most expensive sale in history. The Brazilian had also moved to Newcastle in 2019 for 43.5 million Euros.
In total, Touré played 43 Bundesliga matches for Hoffenheim, scoring five goals and providing 15 assists. He also participated in the 2026 World Cup with Ivory Coast.
1. Ramus Højlund
signed from FC Copenhagen for 1.95 million Euros and sold to Atalanta Bergamo for 21 million Euros
Undoubtedly Andreas Schicker's star transfer.
The then 18-year-old Dane moved from FC Copenhagen to SK Sturm in January 2022 for around two million Euros. Just six months later, the freshly crowned ÖFB Cup winner was sold to Atalanta Bergamo for a reported 21 million Euros including bonuses, thus becoming SK Sturm's record departure.
In 21 matches for the "Blackies", Højlund scored twelve goals and assisted four others. Via Atalanta and Manchester United, his path eventually led to SSC Napoli, where the now 35-cap Danish international is currently hunting for goals.
His current market value is estimated at around 60 million Euros.
