LASK is strengthening its squad once again for the current season!

Centre-back Daniel Elfadli is moving from Hamburger SV to the reigning double winners. The Linz club officially announced this on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old has mostly played as a defensive midfielder or centre-back in his career and now arrives on loan from HSV.

"Daniel is a versatile defensive all-rounder who gives us a lot of flexibility in defence. He also possesses good build-up play and high game intelligence. With his mentality, he fits very well into our team," said Sporting Director Dino Buric.

Plenty of Experience

Rumours had already surfaced in the morning that Elfadli was in Austria for contract talks. Now it is clear that he is joining the Linz side.

The German-born player made 55 appearances for HSV, and previously played for clubs including Magdeburg and Aalen. He is expected to strengthen LASK's squad depth, due to the upcoming triple burden (three competitions).

"I find this task extremely exciting. I really wanted to gain new experience, also internationally. My first impression is very good: very nice people work here, and I believe I will feel comfortable quickly. It's a good step for me, and I am convinced that I can help the club," said the new signing.
