According to a report from "Africafoot", Oumar Diakite is already on his way to Graz to complete his medical examinations.
The 22-year-old attacker is currently under contract with Stade Reims in Ligue 2 and is reportedly set to join on loan with an option to buy. Recently, clubs from Turkey and the English Championship were also reportedly interested.
Once played in Austria
Diakite is no stranger to Austria. From 2022 to 2023, the 31-cap Ivory Coast international was under contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg. However, he never played for the "Bulls"; instead, he made 35 appearances (12 goals, 11 assists) for cooperation club Liefering.
In the summer of 2023, he then moved to Reims for 2.5 million euros. Last season, he was on loan at Cercle Bruges. He made 26 appearances (7 goals) for the Belgian club.
