Salzburg Rebuffed by Querfeld Teammate - Now Napoli Beckons

Red Bull Salzburg could again come away empty-handed with a transfer target!

As "FussballTransfers" reports, the Mozart City club were intensely interested in Union Berlin's winger Livan Burcu last summer. Fenerbahce Istanbul is also said to have courted the 22-year-old.

However, the former Turkish U21 international decided to remain with the German Bundesliga club.

Napoli Monitoring Salzburg Target

Now, a significantly bigger career step could be ahead for Burcu.

According to the report, SSC Napoli has the attacking player on their radar. However, a possible move to the Italian top club in winter is not yet concrete.

Burcu recently drew attention to himself with his decisive goal in the 1-0 home win against SV Elversberg. With a spectacular volley from the edge of the penalty area, he secured the Berliners' first win of the season.

Although the 22-year-old is not currently a regular starter at Union, he is considered a dangerous super-sub due to his dribbling prowess and creativity.

Whether Salzburg will make another attempt for Burcu is unknown. The Union player has a market value of four million Euros; his contract duration in the German capital is not known. He last extended it in July 2025.
