SC Austria Lustenau secured the services of Alieu Conateh (19) on Deadline Day.

The 19-year-old Gambian arrives on loan from Grasshoppers Club Zurich and is set to spend one season with the promoted side.

Austria is not unfamiliar territory for winger Conateh: In the 2025/26 season, he played on loan for SKU Amstetten, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 26 competitive matches there. He also contributed two assists in two ÖFB Cup games.

Conateh says about his move: "I am extremely happy and very proud to be able to play for Austria from now on. I have heard a lot about the club and also followed them last season. (...). I want to play as much as possible, develop further and help the team achieve its goals."

Sporting Director Dieter Alge: "Alieu was already on our radar last season. He brings many interesting skills that are of great importance in modern football. Alieu is fast, agile, strong in dribbling, and dangerous in front of goal. With his dynamism and individual quality, he will provide additional impetus to our attacking play and open up further options and variability in attack for us. We are convinced that he will enrich our game and make us even more unpredictable."
