No Rapid Match! Kalajdzic's Brother Injured in Altercation
The LASK attacker's brother will miss the match against Rapid after breaking his ribs in an altercation.
For SK Rapid, Saturday's UNIQA ÖFB-Cup match will be against Austria Klagenfurt (from 8:30 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>).
While the Viennese still have one or two injuries in their squad, the regional league team can count on almost their full roster.
Four-week break for Kalajdzic
Only one prominent name is missing. As the club announced last week, Daniel Kalajdzic - brother of LASK star Sasa Kalajdzic - will be out for four weeks.
The reason is a broken rib. He sustained the injury after the 4-3 away win against Bleiburg, where he clashed with an opponent, and both were shown red for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Injury sustained in altercation
"During the altercation, he suffered a broken rib due to an assault by an opponent," the Klagenfurt club wrote.
Kalajdzic also received an unconditional one-match ban and another on probation. He has already served the match. So, he would be eligible to play for Rapid, but is out due to injury.
