Cup: Leoben gets hammered by Voitsberg
Second-division side ASK Voitsberg lives up to its favorite role in the Styrian derby and thrashes DSV Leoben.
A clear-cut affair in the first round of the UNIQA ÖFB Cup in Leoben!
Regional league side DSV Leoben goes down 0-6 against LigaZwa promoted side ASK Voitsberg.
Former Austria player Manuel Polster scored the opener in the 3rd minute, before Fabian Schubert bagged a perfect hat-trick (12th, 18th, 23rd). Daniel Goriupp made it 5-0 before half-time (29th).
In the second half, Andreas Radics then completed the half-dozen (61st).
Klagenfurt prevents exit
SK Austria Klagenfurt, relegated to the Regionalliga, just managed to prevent a first-round exit against ATUS Velden, winning 2-1.
In the clash of the two Carinthian clubs, Velden took the lead in the 21st minute through Tom Zurga, but Tristan Schoppitsch (72nd) and Alexander Ranacher (75th) ultimately turned the game around.
SV Lafnitz beat USV Scheinlingkirchen-Warth 3-1.
