WSG celebrates emphatic Cup victory against Wieselburg
Thanks to a hat-trick from Nikolai Baden Frederiksen, WSG celebrates a clear victory.
WSG Tirol starts the new season with a victory.
The Wattener win 6-0 against SC Wieselburg in the first round of the UNIQA ÖFB Cup.
Ola-Adebomi scores the opener
The Tyroleans start well, but then increasingly lose control. However, amidst Wieselburg's dominant spell, Wattens scores their first goal.
After a nice pass from Satin to Olakigbe, the Englishman crosses to Ola-Adebomi, who remains clinical in front of goal and scores to take the lead (23').
After that, not much comes from the Lower Austrians, and so Baden Frederiksen scores to make it 2-0 shortly before halftime after a perfect cross from newcomer Balic (44').
Baden Frederiksen with the hat-trick
At the start of the second half, the Dane strikes again. With a beautiful long-range shot into the bottom right corner, Baden Frederiksen makes it 3-0 (52').
Shortly thereafter, the score becomes emphatic. After a corner kick, substitute Bambara rises highest and scores to make it 4-0 (61').
But WSG still hasn't had enough. In the 71st minute, the ball once again reaches Baden Frederiksen via the strong Olakigbe, and he completes his hat-trick.
In the final phase, Lukas Hinterseer also gets to celebrate the 6-0 final score (78').
