Liefering snags top talent (15) – Million-euro transfer fee rumored
The second-division club introduces a talented young man from Slovenia. He is just 15 years old and is rumored to cost a seven-figure sum.
FC Liefering introduces a new midfielder. The just 15-year-old Tim Ruznic joins the club from the youth academy of FC Koper, moving to the Salzach region.
The transfer will be completed in January 2027. Ruznic will then celebrate his 16th birthday and will be eligible to move abroad according to transfer regulations.
"Due to his profile, Ruznic was of interest to many clubs in Europe, and accordingly, he received numerous offers from top clubs in major footballing nations. We are delighted that we were ultimately able to convince him and his family of our opportunities, and that he will be with us from January 2027," said Liefering CEO Manfred Pamminger.
According to the Slovenian medium "Sportklub", the transfer is quite costly. Liefering is reportedly set to pay 1.2 million euros, and with bonuses, the deal could be worth a total of 2.1 million euros.
