Austria Academy strengthens with two ÖFB talents
The Violets have signed two more youth players. These are expected to play for the U16 and U18 teams in the future.
Austria Wien is further advancing its squad planning in the youth sector.
The Violets presented Daniel Manzano-Taepe and Constantin Zuschlag as two new additions to their academy. While Manzano-Taepe will play for the U16 team in the future, Zuschlag will reinforce the U18 team.
Manzano-Taepe arrives from Admira
Central defender Manzano-Taepe moves from Admira's U15 to Favoriten.
According to a press release from the Austria Academy, the defensive player is characterized by his good build-up play, strong tackling, and powerful left foot.
Furthermore, Manzano-Taepe, born in 2011, was recently called up by ÖFB national team coach Ralf Rangnick for the prospective player training camp in July 2026.
Zuschlag strengthens the U18
Austria also managed to sign a talented attacking player for the U18 team.
Seventeen-year-old Zuschlag joins from Wolfsberger AC and drew attention last season with several goals for the Carinthians' U18 team.
The tall striker also made his debut for the Austrian U17 national team in May. In the 3-3 draw against Hungary, he scored the interim equalizer to make it 1-1.
