The visitors from Vorarlberg were initially the more dangerous team.

Bregenz Deservedly Takes the Lead

Sealey first failed with a shot that was too central (17'), before the Englishman only hit the crossbar after an egregious error in St. Pölten's build-up play (18').

Even after that, Bregenz kept the pressure on. Fetahu was just blocked on a shot (25'), before the attacker again caused danger. His curled shot towards the far post also only hit the woodwork (33').

The overdue lead finally came in the 40th minute. Fetahu perfectly laid the ball to the six-yard box, where Gabryel stood completely free and only had to tap it in.

For Bregenz, it was their first away goal of the season.

St. Pölten Strikes Back Late

After halftime, SKN had a great chance to equalize. After a shot from Mane, Bregenz keeper Aizawa was already beaten, but Gabryel rescued for the Vorarlbergers, heading the ball away before it crossed the line (52').

The "Wolves" continued to struggle initially, before Timo Altersberger delivered a perfect cross into the middle in the 75th minute. Gabriel Jesus David rose high and headed in for the 1-1 equalizer.

Bregenz became more offensive again afterwards and had a chance through Lars Nussbaumer to regain the lead. However, his long-range shot went just over the goal (82').

Altersberger Delivers the Lucky Punch

Just as everything looked like a draw, SKN struck again in the very last second.

With the last action of the game, Timo Altersberger got to a header and put the ball into the net for 2-1 (90'+6').

Thus, St. Pölten truly turned the game around completely and celebrated a late home victory.

SKN now stands at nine points and is in twelfth place. Bregenz remains on ten points and is now eighth.
