Another Loss! Admira Falls to Vienna
Zimmermann scores the only goal of the match in the second half. It's another setback for Admira.
Admira suffers another defeat on Matchday 4 of the ADMIRAL 2. Liga. At home, the hosts lose to First Vienna FC 1894 by a score of 0-1 (0-0).
The home team starts the match well. After just three minutes, they register their first top chance from a corner through De Wit. Unger prevents an early deficit with a save.
At the other end, Monschein narrowly misses the goal (9th, 15th). After several unfinished Admira attacks, Forst appears in front of Vienna's goal. Unger parries his shot forward but manages to clear it on the second attempt, keeping the score at 0-0 (21st). However, Steinbauer is also called into action shortly after against Rosenberger.
Admira creates the next chances in the game. First, Gemicibasi tests Unger from distance (29th), then Forst narrowly misses (31st). Even Soukouna (37th, 43rd) cannot change the 0-0 halftime score.
Zimmermann Scores the Only Goal
After the break, it's quiet at first. As in the first half, Forst currently finds no way past the opposing goalkeeper (64th, 66th).
It looks different at the other end. Marta finds Zimmermann with his cross, who makes it 1-0 (67th). Admira barely creates any more top chances and ultimately has to admit defeat again despite more shots on goal.
For the hosts, it is the third defeat in four games. In the table, they are in 13th place, while Vienna is fifth.
