After a frantic start: FAC and Amstetten play out a draw
Both teams fell behind once but were able to fight back and take a point.
In the 3rd round of the ADMIRAL 2. Liga, Floridsdorfer AC and SKU Amstetten drew 2-2 on Saturday.
Big chances arose already in the early stages of the match. In the third minute, FAC goalie Scharner was able to tip Wimmer's shot onto the crossbar, but shortly after, he was powerless. Vötter's cross could not be properly cleared, allowing Offenthaler to score the opening goal for Amstetten unopposed from close range (5').
One minute later, FAC record player Becirovic had the equalizer at his feet, but shot just over (6'). In the 14th minute, the score became 1-1. Vucenovic sprinted onto a long ball, which he delicately chipped into the middle of the penalty area. Glavan was perfectly positioned and headed it in.
The next absolute top chance was a long time coming. FAC offensive player Piskule tried to curl the ball into the Mostviertler goal (36'). Goalkeeper Estevao was able to clear it for a corner. Shortly after, he was beaten again. The ball fell to Vucenovic, who could sprint alone towards goal and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner to make it 2-1.
Another lightning start from Amstetten
The second half also started with a bang. In the 47th minute, Joshua Steiger got a shot away from 15 meters and found the bottom left corner for the 2-2 equalizer.
In hot temperatures in Vienna Floridsdorf, the match became increasingly physical and battled. Glavan had the home team's biggest chance after a good pass from Piskule (74'). Shortly after, Vötter had the lead at his feet for Amstetten, but only hit the side netting (77').
In the 88th minute, Vötter also had an opportunity for the winning goal. A Floridsdorfer player was able to get his foot in the way and defused the situation.
In the last action of the game, the Viennese were lucky. Amstetten managed to play the ball semi-high from the right into the middle towards Nico Zellhofer. The 18-year-old stuck out his heel and hit the crossbar (90'+6).
As no more goals were scored, the match ended 2-2. Amstetten remains unbeaten this LigaZwa season and moves up to sixth place in the table.
