ÖSV Snowboardcrosser Ends Career
Just a few months ago, the 27-year-old was competing at the Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Pia Zerkhold is saying goodbye to snowboardcross!
As the Lower Austrian announced in an "Instagram" post, she is ending her active career at just 27 years old.
"In recent months, I've realized that I no longer have the same passion for snowboardcross and have therefore decided to end my athletic career," Zerkhold explained her decision, subsequently thanking all companions and supporters.
In addition to two Olympic Games appearances, the 27-year-old stood on the podium twice in the World Cup. Furthermore, in 2023, she won the World Championship silver medal in the mixed team event with Jakob Dusek.
