Another 2022 Biathlon Olympic Champion Becomes a Mom
Biathlon star Linn Gestblom will miss the upcoming World Cup season. The reason, however, is a joyful one: The Swede is expecting her first child.
Olympic champion and biathlon star Linn Gestblom, probably still known to most by her maiden name Linn Persson, will have to take on the role of spectator next season.
A role, however, that the Swede gladly accepts. The 32-year-old is expecting a child.
"This winter, I will comfortably follow biathlon from the sofa. If all goes according to plan, we will become parents in March," Gestblom informed her fans on social media. She also shared an ultrasound image.
Olympic Champion in Beijing
In 2022, she won gold with the Swedish relay team at the Olympic Games in Beijing – back then still under her birth name Persson. In addition, she has two Olympic silver medals and six World Championship medals.
