Champions Hockey League LIVE: Skelleftea AIK - Red Bull Salzburg
The Red Bulls visit the Swedish champions on the final matchday. LIVE information:
EC Red Bull Salzburg visits reigning champions Skelleftea AIK in Sweden on the final matchday of the Champions Hockey League group stage (7:00 PM CET in the LIVE ticker).
For the "Red Bulls", their final appearance in elite European club hockey is meaningless. With three points from five games, coach Alan Letang's team no longer has a chance to finish among the top 16. Their only victory came from a 3-0 win against Liberec.
In addition to the convalescing Thomas Raffl, his brother Michael Raffl and top scorer Peter Schneider also did not make the trip to the far North. The latter two are nursing injuries. New signing Ty Rattie is also not yet available.
Skelleftea has won four of its five games so far, but suffered a 4-2 defeat against group leader HC Pilsen in the last round.
