Repeat Surgery: Norwegian Worried About Season Opener
Kajsa Vickhoff Lie had to undergo another operation; it's still unclear when she can return to the World Cup.
Setback for Kajsa Vickhoff Lie!
The Norwegian had to undergo surgery on her left knee after suffering a cartilage injury during the last Super-G in Kvitfjell. As the discomfort did not improve, another operation has now followed.

"After three months, it was clear that the cartilage had not settled. Then, around the turn of June/July, I had another small operation and had everything removed because the cartilage had split," the 28-year-old is quoted by the news agency "NTB".
She is feeling a bit better now, but is not yet back to her normal daily routine. After the procedure, she had to use crutches for ten weeks. Lie was also unable to participate in the tests with the Norwegian ski team.
The new season for female skiers begins on October 24 in Sölden with a giant slalom. Whether the Norwegian can participate is still open.
