Mirra Andreeva is no longer an unknown on the WTA Tour. The 19-year-old leads the pack of aggressive teenagers.
While some players on this list are still dreaming of reaching the top of the world, the Russian, born on April 29, 2007, in Krasnoyarsk, is already a firm fixture among the world's best female tennis players.
Already in July 2024, at the age of 17, the 1.75-meter tall Andreeva, who is right-handed and plays a two-handed backhand, won her first WTA title in Iași.
The first major breakthrough followed in February 2025: In Dubai, she crowned herself the youngest winner of a WTA 1000 tournament, thereby breaking into the top 10 of the world rankings for the first time.
In 2026, it was time for her first Grand Slam title: Against Maja Chwalińska, Andreeva crowned herself the youngest French Open winner since Monica Seles in 1992. She is currently in fifth place in the WTA world rankings.
Andreeva is coached by Conchita Martinez. As a professional player, she herself was once number two on the WTA Tour. As a coach, Martinez has already mentored former world number ones Garbine Muguruza and Karolína Plíšková.
Iva Jovic (18)

The Californian was born on December 6, 2007, making her about two months older than Lilli Tagger.
Jovic started playing tennis at just five years old. She took her first steps in professional tennis on the ITF Tour at the young age of 14. In her first tournament at this level in Los Angeles, she immediately reached the final.
In 2024, she debuted on the WTA Tour at the US Open. Having won the "USTA Girls 18s National Championships" beforehand, she was granted a wildcard. At 16, she was the youngest participant in that Grand Slam edition and even reached the second round thanks to a victory over Magda Linette.
The following year, she accumulated more and more results at the highest level of performance and also celebrated her first major title at the WTA 500 tournament in Guadalajara, Mexico. In the final, she defeated Emiliana Arango 6:4, 6:1.
Currently, the American talent is ranked 14th in the world rankings – which is also her career-high to date.
Victoria Mboko (19)

Victoria Mboko was born on August 26, 2006, in North Carolina, USA. However, since the 19-year-old emigrated to Toronto with her parents at the age of two months, she now plays for Canada.
At 1.80 meters, she is one of the taller players on the WTA Tour. Mboko knows how to make good use of that height.
She celebrated her first titles on the ITF Tour at just 15 years old. However, the big breakthrough came at the start of 2025: On the ITF Tour, she won 22 matches in a row without dropping a set, resulting in four tournament victories.
In August of the same year, she received a wildcard for the WTA 1000 tournament in front of her home crowd in Montreal. Here, she started a run that made history: At just 18 years old, she crowned herself the champion of the National Bank Open 2025.
It cannot be said that the draw was in her favor: On her way to the title, she defeated Sofia Kenin, Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, and in the final, Naomi Osaka.
This made her the second youngest player after Serena Williams to defeat four Grand Slam title winners in one tournament. The triumph brought her into the world's top 30 for the first time; today, she is already in the top 15.
Sára Bejlek (20)

The 20-year-old is currently one of ten Czech players in the Top 100 of the WTA rankings – and the only woman on this list who, strictly speaking, is no longer a teenager.
She was born on January 31, 2006, in Znojmo and, at 1.63 meters, is relatively short compared to most of her competitors.
Additionally, she is one of only six left-handers currently in the top 100 of the world rankings. However, this does not detract from her successful game.
Her tennis career has been crowned with success from a young age. She celebrated her first tournament victory at ITF level at 15 years old at her home tournament in Olomouc. At junior level, she lifted the trophy in 2023 in the French Open doubles with partner Lucie Havlickova.
Bejlek feels particularly comfortable on clay. This is also demonstrated by the fact that she won all her titles exclusively on the red dirt until 2025. The slow surface suits the Czech player due to her strong, defensive playing style.
Nevertheless, her big breakthrough came on hardcourt: As a qualifier, Bejlek played her way into the final of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open 2026, where she defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova in two sets. Starting the tournament as world No. 101 in the WTA rankings, she made a huge leap forward and suddenly found herself at No. 38 after winning the title.
In direct head-to-head matches between Lilli Tagger and Bejlek, it is currently 1:1. Both matches were played recently, in July 2026. The second of the two matches took place in the quarterfinals of Prague, en route to Tagger's first WTA title.
Tereza Valentova (19)

Tereza Valentova, born on February 20, 2007, is considered one of the greatest talents in the Czech Republic.
She is 1.74 meters tall, right-handed, and, like most players her age, plays a two-handed backhand. She also comes from a sporting family: Her mother, Jitka Janáčková, was an Olympic participant in canoeing in the 90s.
Already in 2021, the then 14-year-old Valentova received a wildcard for the qualification of the "WTA Prague Open". The following year, she formed a doubles pair with Mirra Andreeva in the French Open junior doubles. In 2023, she reached the final of the US Open junior singles, but lost it.
In 2025, she topped that in Paris: In the youth category, she won both the singles and doubles at the French Open.
In the same summer, two WTA Challenger titles in Grado and Porto followed, and the following October, her first WTA Tour final appearance in Osaka. However, the 19-year-old is still waiting for her first major WTA Tour title.
Valentova is currently ranked 57th in the world rankings. It is noteworthy that she is still only the ninth-best Czech player in the ranking.
Alina Korneeva (19)

Another talented Russian teenager is Alina Korneeva. The 1.80-meter tall right-hander was born on June 23, 2007, and is sometimes referred to as "Mini Sharapova."
Already at the age of 15, in September 2022 in Casablanca, she achieved her first tournament victory at ITF level. In 2023, she also won the W100 tournament in Figueira Da Foz – no younger female tennis player had ever won a tournament in this category before her.
In the same year, there was also much to celebrate at junior level: Both the Australian Open and the French Open went to Korneeva. At Wimbledon, her journey went as far as the semi-finals.
However, her career stalled somewhat in 2024: In spring, the Russian had to undergo wrist surgery. She was only able to return to the tour in September.
In 2026, her promising tennis career picked up speed again. In February, the WTA Challenger in Oeiras went to Korneeva. At the WTA 250 tournament in Athens, she reached the semi-finals – her run only ended against local favorite Maria Sakkari.
Kristina Liutova (16)
WTA Ranking: 125
The current youngest shooting star on the WTA Tour is Kristina Liutova. The Russian was born on February 2, 2010, making her just 16 years old.
At the beginning of the year, her name was still preceded by number 714 in the world rankings. Now it's position 125.
Her WTA debut at the "2026 Memphis Classics", which took place from late July to early August, is responsible for this. As the first player born in the 2010s, Liutova reached a WTA Tour final there – despite entering the competition as a qualifier.
She also won the final against Darja Vidmanova. This makes the Russian the youngest player to win a WTA tournament since Coco Gauff at the "2019 Linz Open" (who was 15 at the time).
The Moscow-born player has been training in the USA for six years. In a regional tennis blog from the USA, focused on junior tennis, Liutova said a year ago: "I want it to happen as soon as possible. I want to compete for the USA, as early as I can."
