Rafael Nadal Returns to the Tennis Court
After his retirement two years ago, the Spaniard will now play a tennis match for the public for the first time.
Rafael Nadal will return to the tennis court for his fans for the first time since his retirement in 2024.
As part of the "Rafa Nadal Academy", the 22-time Grand Slam winner will play some exhibition matches on October 3rd in Mallorca.
"Some of the biggest names in the sport" have also been announced for these matches. Exactly who is meant will be revealed in the coming days.
Also a Training Ground for Alexander Zverev
In preparation for the hard court season, German Alexander Zverev also trained at the "Rafa Nadal Academy" in Mallorca.
Among others, he trained there with Toni Nadal, Rafael Nadal's uncle and former coach. Given his US Open title, his preparation there was likely not bad.
During his time as an active professional, Nadal was known as the "King of Clay" because he won the French Open in Paris a total of 14 times. The second most victories at the clay-court tournament in the Open Era belonged to Björn Borg, who won the Grand Slam six times.
