The ATP Masters 1000 title in Paris goes to Carlos Alcaraz. Following his victory at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, he remains unbeaten in Paris as well.

The Spaniard defeated his opponent Ben Shelton (USA/ATP No. 4) in straight sets 7-6(5), 7-5.

Perhaps the most crucial moment of the first set came with Shelton leading 2-1. Alcaraz was 0-40 down on his own serve, but managed to save every break point. In the tiebreak, Alcaraz prevailed 7-5 after a thrilling battle.

In the second set, the Vienna champion found himself 2-4 down at one point. Once again, he staged a comeback and converted his second match point on Shelton's serve after 1:59 hours to take it 7-5.

While he remains third in the ATP world rankings, he manages to extend his lead over the chasing pack.
