Vienna Vikings Eye Conference Title

The Vienna Vikings are guests of the Alpine Rams in Switzerland as part of the American Football League Europe (AFLE). The Viennese won the first leg with a score of 47:20.

Kickoff is on Saturday, August 15th, at 6:00 PM.

If they win the return leg, they will secure the Conference title and the associated home-field advantage in the semifinals.

First Loss of the Season as Additional Motivation

For the Vienna Vikings, Saturday is also about getting back to winning ways after the last matchday. Last weekend, they had to concede defeat against the Wroclaw Panthers. It was the first loss of the season for the Viennese.

"We know that a different situation awaits us on Saturday compared to the first leg in Vienna. An away game always brings additional challenges. For us, it's about performing with focus, analyzing and correcting our mistakes from the last game. We want to play our football again – Vikings Football," said Head Coach Chris Calaycay ahead of the matchup against the Swiss franchise.
