Aims to win all Majors: Littler celebrates Pro-Tour comeback!

Luke Littler returns to the PDC Pro Tour and is obligated to win.

The 19-year-old has set himself the goal of winning all major tournaments of the year. This has never happened before, not even during the best times of Phil Taylor or Michael van Gerwen. Currently, however, Littler is not qualified for the "World Championship dress rehearsal," the Players Championship Finals.

Challenging Qualification

To be able to participate in these, one must collect enough prize money for the ranking list in 34 Players Championship tournaments. These tournaments take place without spectators and are, in a way, the daily work of darts professionals. Through success in these tournaments, one can qualify for the big stages.

Only the top 64 of this ranking list qualify for the Players Championship Finals. Luke Littler currently has zero pounds in prize money earned.

He has not competed in a single one of the 26 events so far, as the travel demands were reportedly too great for him. Now he must deliver in the last eight tournaments to still make the cut.

Austria's darts star Mensur Suljovic is currently qualified as number 40.

The Goals Remain High

The return is eagerly awaited. Littler's last appearance at a tournament at Pro Tour level dates back to March 22 at the Belgian Darts Open. There he lost to the Dutchman Niels Zonneveld.

It is also his last defeat ever in a PDC ranking tournament.

Should he succeed in qualifying, something historic awaits him: winning all major tournaments of the year. So far, he has remained flawless in the very big events. He would "only" be missing the World Grand Prix, European Championship, Grand Slam of Darts, and the aforementioned Players Championship Finals.
