Gauff wins all-American final

Coco Gauff wins the Masters tournament in Cincinnati.

In the final, she defeats fellow American Jessica Pegula with a score of 6:2, 6:4. In the championship match, the world number four secured a dominant victory.

In 2023, Gauff had also won the tournament in Cincinnati and subsequently the US Open in New York. However, the 22-year-old "honestly doesn't think this is an indication that I will play well in New York."

The US Open in New York begins on August 30.
