Honda Factory Team finds 2027 teammate for Quartararo
A Brazilian rider steps up to HRC, while satellite team LCR will sign a rookie.
The Honda factory team HRC's lineup for MotoGP 2027 is complete.
Alongside Fabio Quartararo, who is moving from Yamaha to the Japanese manufacturer, Brazilian Diogo Moreira will be promoted from the satellite team LCR. Spanish rookie David Alonso will take his place.
Moreira, the 2025 Moto2 World Champion, impressed with consistent performances in his debut MotoGP season: currently 15th overall, he is the second-best Honda rider behind Luca Marini.
It was already clear that the Honda factory team would be reorganizing: Luca Marini is moving to Tech3-KTM, and Joan Mir to Gresini-Ducati.
