High-Profile Replacement: Red Bull Driver Likely to Miss Netherlands GP
The 21-year-old reportedly injured his wrist during the summer break. An old acquaintance is expected to replace him.
Dismal news for Red Bull Racing ahead of the upcoming Formula 1 race weekend.
As several Dutch media outlets, including "De Telegraaf", report, regular driver Isack Hadjar is likely to miss the Dutch Grand Prix (The schedule at a glance>>>). He reportedly injured his wrist during the summer break.
Should he indeed be out, a rotation between Red Bull Racing and sister team Racing Bulls is expected in Zandvoort. As the report indicates, Liam Lawson would step up, celebrating his Red Bull comeback alongside Max Verstappen.
Tsunoda Set for Formula 1 Comeback
The New Zealander had been promoted to Red Bull for the 2025 season but was relegated back to Racing Bulls after just two unsuccessful races.
For Lawson, another former Red Bull driver would step in at Racing Bulls: Yuki Tsunoda, who currently serves as a reserve driver, is therefore likely to celebrate his Formula 1 comeback. The Japanese driver lost his Red Bull cockpit to Hadjar after the 2025 season.
Red Bull has not yet commented on the rumors. Should Hadjar indeed be sidelined, he would miss precisely the race where he secured his only Formula 1 podium finish to date, a third place for Racing Bulls in 2025.
