Verstappen Fastest in Final Baku Practice

Max Verstappen has set the fastest time in the final practice session in Baku.

The Dutchman clocked the best time of 1:43.922 min in the final stages of FP3, just edging out George Russell (+0.099). The Red Bull driver, however, struggled with his car and, like many others, had to take the "escape road" multiple times.

However, the Briton, who was once again faster than teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli (+0.351), and the championship leader were not on track in the final minutes. Both Mercedes drivers had already been faster in Friday's second practice session.

McLaren Far Behind

Lewis Hamilton (+0.111) finished third, more than half a second ahead of Charles Leclerc (+0.622), who came in fifth.

The two McLarens were far behind: Oscar Piastri (+0.824) and Lando Norris (+0.977) found themselves only in seventh and eighth place. Isack Hadjar (+1.254) finished ninth, over a second behind Verstappen.
