The reigning world champion snatches pole position by a whisker ahead of the Mercedes driver.
Lando Norris is on pole position for the first Grand Prix of Madrid!
The reigning world champion set the fastest time at Madring and will therefore start Sunday's race (from 3 PM in the LIVE ticker >>>) from first place.
Championship leader Kimi Antonelli finishes second, missing out by 11 thousandths of a second. Max Verstappen in the Red Bull finishes third.
