KAC brings 19-year-old Waschnig back from Canada
The Klagenfurt team is reacting to Fabian Hochegger's injury-related absence.
KAC is bringing David Waschnig back to Klagenfurt with immediate effect.
Waschnig had earned a regular spot with KAC last season, but moved to Baie-Comeau Drakkar in Canada's highest junior league in the summer.
Now the 19-year-old forward is back in the win2day ICE Hockey League. His contract with KAC, originally signed until 2028, is now reactivated.
Waschnig is intended to fill the void at KAC left by Fabian Hochegger's long-term injury.
"Hope he can continue his development"
"David Waschnig has progressed through all levels of our club's youth department and, as a crowning achievement of his junior career, established himself in the professional team. We are pleased that he became available again on short notice and hope that he can continue the development he showed last season this year as well," says KAC General Manager Oliver Pilloni.
