Champions Hockey League today: Eisbären Berlin - KAC

KAC faces Eisbären Berlin away on the final matchday of the league phase in the Champions Hockey League. (7:30 PM in the LIVE ticker).

For the Red Jackets, it's about a conciliatory finish in hockey's premier competition. After five games, they have four defeats and only two points, meaning the Klagenfurters no longer have a chance for the knockout phase.

Accordingly, no major personnel risks will be taken. In addition to long-term absentees Sebastian Dahm, Jacob Hudson, Fabian Hochegger, and Matt Fraser, the injured Nick Petersen and Jan Drozg also did not travel to Berlin.

Germany's serial champions have won their last three CHL games after a miserable start (2:6 in Geneva, 2:8 in Davos), including the home game on September 11 against the Graz99ers (4:1) and the away game last week in Salzburg (4:3). With nine points, they have already secured a spot among the top 16.

However, Eisbären still have a score to settle with KAC. Last CHL season, Austria's record champions won 3:2 with goals from Petersen, Mathias From, and Luka Gomboc.
