After Missed Chance: Norway's Sorloth Receives Death Threats
Sorloth misses a good chance in the first half of the quarter-final against England, subsequently receiving unpleasant messages which his girlfriend has now published.
Norway's Alexander Sorloth is receiving death threats after the bitter World Cup exit against England!
The Atletico player dangerously approached the English goal at the end of the first half, but attempted to go it alone and was thwarted by an opponent.
Haaland would have been alone in front of the opposing goalkeeper, putting him in a promising position to make it 2-0.
Shortly after this situation, Bellingham equalised for 1-1, before scoring the 2-1 winner in injury time. Norway's World Cup exit was thus sealed.
Girlfriend Publishes Messages
The missed opportunity caused great displeasure among fans. His girlfriend, Lena Selnes, has now published some of the messages Sorloth received on Instagram.
Beneath the screenshot, she writes: "The World Cup and football bring a lot of joy, but also a lot of hatred. I usually don't want to pay attention to it, but after comments like these, I have to."
One person writes: "You will be killed," while others share further hateful remarks.
