Charlotte FC celebrated a 3-1 home win in the MLS against D.C. United on Saturday (local time).

One of the protagonists of the match was David Schnegg. The Austrian legionnaire scored the interim equalizer, making it 1-1, in the 64th minute. Schnegg was in the right place after a free-kick and poked the ball over the line from close range.

It is the Austrian's second MLS goal of the season in 13 appearances. In addition to his two assists, the left-back now has four seasonal scorer points.

However, the goal on Saturday certainly held special significance, as he scored it against his former club. Schnegg was under contract with D.C. United from July 2024 to January 2026.

Before Schnegg scored the equalizer, Louis Munteanu had put D.C. in the lead (55th minute). Subsequently, William Cleary (66th minute) and Pep Biel (77th minute) scored to secure the win for Charlotte.

Charlotte has thus collected seven points from their last three matches and sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 32 points.

Fitz Not in Squad Again

Minnesota United celebrated a clear 5-1 away victory against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. Former Bundesliga striker Kelvin Yeboah scored twice for Minnesota.

Dominik Fitz was not part of the squad. The Austrian legionnaire was left out of Minnesota's squad for the second consecutive time. So far this season, he has only made one brief appearance.

With 28 points, Minnesota currently sits in tenth place in the Western Conference.
