Udinese Calcio suffered a 2-1 away defeat to FC Torino on the sixth matchday of Serie A.

In the first match since his signing, David Alaba made his debut for Udinese Calcio in the 72nd minute.

In a first half with few chances, Torino took the lead after a short corner kick. Adams took a shot and hit the inside of the post. From there, the ball rebounded to Bragança, who tapped it in for 1-0 (36').

Before the break, however, Udinese managed to equalize with virtually their first goal-scoring opportunity. Ekkelenkamp scored from a tight angle to make it 1-1 (43').

Mistake Leads to Renewed Torino Lead

After the break, the match continued to be characterized by caution from both sides.

In the 67th minute, a costly misunderstanding in the Udinese defense led to the hosts regaining the lead. After an unfortunate collision between goalkeeper Okoye and his defender, Kulenovic only had to tap the ball in for 2-1.

Shortly thereafter, Alaba made his debut: In the 72nd minute, the ÖFB captain was substituted in for Vojvoda.

However, the ÖFB captain could not prevent the defeat. The match ended with a narrow 1-2 scoreline. In the table, Udinese remains in 15th place, level on points with second-to-last Fiorentina.
