30 Million Package! Leipzig likely still counting on Gruda
The German attacking player is set to return to the Red Bulls on loan. A mandatory purchase option could be triggered over the course of the season.
Brajan Gruda is expected to feature in an RB Leipzig jersey again next season.
According to reports from "kicker", the Red Bulls have reached a basic agreement with Gruda's parent club Brighton & Hove Albion regarding another loan spell.
The deal reportedly includes a mandatory purchase option, which is said to be triggered after a small number of appearances.
The overall package, consisting of the loan fee and transfer sum including bonuses, is reportedly worth around 30 million Euros.
Mainz's Record Departure
The 22-year-old attacking player already spent the last six months on loan in Leipzig, scoring three goals in 14 games and also providing three assists.
Gruda moved from 1. FSV Mainz 05 to Brighton in 2024 for a reported 31.5 million Euros. He currently remains the 05ers' record departure. In the Premier League, Gruda made a total of 39 appearances (two goals, five assists).
The exact date of the former German youth international's return to Leipzig is not yet known. According to "kicker", there are still a few formalities to be clarified.
