Former Dortmund player Aubameyang set for Spain move

Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly on the verge of a move to newly promoted LaLiga side Deportivo A Coruña, according to multiple media reports.

Accordingly, the Galicians are activating a release clause for the 37-year-old, who is still under contract in France until 2027. This clause is reportedly set at 1.5 million Euros.

Return to Spain

Aubameyang had moved to Marseille for the second time in his career last summer. There, he contributed 14 goals and ten assists across all competitions in 2025/26.

In 2022, the Gabonese player was already under contract in LaLiga. He made 24 appearances (scoring 13 goals) for FC Barcelona. Aubameyang had his most successful period at Borussia Dortmund. He scored 141 times in a total of 213 competitive matches.

Deportivo A Coruña returned to the top Spanish league this year after being relegated from LaLiga in 2018.
