FC Salzburg will be fighting for a spot in the UEFA Europa League playoffs on Thursday.

For the second leg of the third qualifying round, the Salzburg side will visit FC Pafos in Cyprus (from 7:00 PM in the LIVE ticker <<<).

The starting position is a decent one for the "Bulls". Thanks to Haris Tabakovic's late goal, Salzburg secured a 1-0 victory in the first leg.

Advancing against Pafos would be very important for Salzburg: This would already guarantee them a spot in a European cup league phase. Although they would still have to compete in the playoff for a place in the Europa League group stage, a spot in the Conference League would at least already be secured.

Should they be eliminated by Pafos, the "Bulls" will have to enter the Conference League playoffs.
