Bacher and Lyon battle to point in San Sebastian
While the defender draws, there are wins for ÖFB goalkeepers Wiegele and Polster.
Felix Bacher and Olympique Lyon earned a 1-1 draw at Real Sociedad on matchday four of the UEFA Europa League.
The Spaniards took the lead in the first half thanks to a strike from Orri Oskarsson (28').
Lyon offered little in the first half. However, Corentin Tolisso produced a brilliant individual effort in the second half to make it 1-1, which proved to be the final score (54').
OL, with Bacher playing the full 90 minutes, temporarily sit in 12th place with seven points. Sociedad, on the other hand, are 17th with five points.
Wiegele keeps clean sheet in win
Florian Wiegele and Viktoria Plzeň also celebrated a victory. The Czech side won 1-0 away at SK Lilleström with the ÖFB goalkeeper between the posts.
The Norwegians proved largely harmless for long stretches, and whenever a shot came on target, Wiegele was equal to it.
For Plzeň, it is their first point of this Europa League season.
Polster left on the bench
There was also a victory for NEC Nijmegen and Nikolas Polster. However, the ÖFB goalkeeper remained on the bench during his side's 3-1 win over Omonia Nicosia.
The goals for the Dutch side were scored by Linssen (50', 76') and former Salzburg player Clement Bischoff (74').
Nijmegen now sit 11th with seven points.
